In 2020 Ate van Delden published his much acclaimed biography of “Adrian Rollini: The Life and Music of a Jazz Rambler” (University Press of Mississippi). Unfortunately at the time there was no room in this book for a Rollini discography. This gap is now filled and a Rollini discography is made available as a download through the Doctor Jazz website and with the permission of Ate van Delden.

This discography contains every Rollini recording that is known as a 78 rpm and every alternate take that is known to be issued on a 78 record, or a vinyl record or CD. Also included in this discography are the early Brunswick Heat Programs as well as the Victor 1933 Program Transcription. Excluded from this discography are the over 100 piano rolls Rolini made in his early years, as well as the transcriptions, air-checks and private recordings.

Ate Van Delden (1941) has worked for the Stichting Doctor Jazz (Doctor Jazz foundation) since its beginning in 1963 and wrote extensively for the Doctor Jazz Magazine until unfortunately its publication came to an end in early 2023. He was the chairman of the Stichting Doctor Jazz for years. He also wrote for other magazines like Vintage Jazz Market and wrote the liner notes for many jazz cd’s. For years he collected jazz records and was specialized in the classic jazz of the 20s of the 20th century. He also is an authority of the history of the early jazz in the Netherlands

In 2020 publiceerde Ate van Delden zijn veelgeprezen biografie van “Adrian Rollini: The Life and Music of a Jazz Rambler” (University Press of Mississippi). Helaas was er destijds geen ruimte in dit boek voor een Rollini-discografie. Deze leemte is nu opgevuld en een Rollini-discografie is beschikbaar als download via de Doctor Jazz-website en met toestemming van Ate Van Delden.

Deze discografie bevat elke Rollini-opname die bekendstaat als een 78-toerenplaat en elke alternatieve take waarvan bekend is dat deze is uitgebracht op een 78-toerenplaat, een vinylplaat of cd. Ook opgenomen in deze discografie zijn de vroege Brunswick Heat Programs en de Victor 1933 Program Transcription. Uitgesloten van deze discografie zijn de meer dan 100 pianorollen die Rolini in zijn vroege jaren maakte, evenals de transcripties, airchecks en privé-opnames.

Ate Van Delden (1941) is sinds de oprichting in 1963 werkzaam bij de Stichting Doctor Jazz en heeft veel geschreven voor het Doctor Jazz Magazine, totdat de publicatie ervan helaas begin 2023 werd stopgezet. Jarenlang verzamelde hij jazzplaten en specialiseerde hij zich in de klassieke jazz van de jaren 20 van de 20e eeuw.
